Then come join us for a Family Constellations workshop in Los Osos on March 15th with facilitator Kato Wittich, whose work was featured in the Netflix docuseries “Sex, Love and Goop”.
Family Constellations is a powerful group transformational modality that allows us to uncover and dissolve the entanglements that keep us repeating inherited survival patterns which we no longer need.
It is a way of tapping into what founder Bert Hellinger calls the "knowing field", the vast and timeless web of information that connects us all and can be directly experienced when we are willing to open to the unknown and let it flow through us.
This is a work of unconditional love, of perceiving all beings as essential parts of a greater whole, without judgment or shame. In revealing and embracing what has been repressed and unconscious in our family systems we free ourselves. Our vitality and energy become available for creating the life we want, which we could not access before.
In a workshop, members of the group will be chosen to represent/resonate family members and ancestors of a person who is working on an issue in their own life. This is a mysterious process that looks a little like psychodrama but is very different because the resonators are not play-acting. They are performing as conduits for feelings that are not their own, but are coming in to them from the field and from the family system that we are engaged with. It is astonishing how accurate total strangers can be in representing members of a family that they know nothing about!
The process of acting as a representative/resonator is usually deeply healing as it often connects the resonator with places in their own lives that are blocked and need flow. When you represent, you step outside of your familiar patterns and experience a different perspective, which opens doors to new possibilities in your own daily life.The compassionate nature of constellations is contagious. The more you swim in it, the less likely you are to judge yourself and others. Simply coming to represent repeatedly in Constellations frequently leads to big changes in people’s lives.
All attendees will get to resonate and also to work directly on their own issues through partner exercises and group exercises in which group members will resonate for them. You can also simply witness and hold space, as the experience of the flow of the field moving through the room can create big openings on its own.
We will also do one longer family constellation with a predetermined client to give everyone a chance to experience the deep connection with the field that comes from resonating in a constellation.
During a constellation we are not trying to change the past, or even to heal it, although amazing transformations do happen. We desire simply to acknowledge how things actually are, without resistance or judgment. The paradox is that in agreeing to things as they are, we open the door for new possibilities in the future.
It is a wonderful modality for doubters because it does not require belief in anything. You do not need to have any training or special practice. You simply have to show up and be willing to be curious and openhearted!
The workshop will be in Los Osos, on the beautiful central coast of California. Attendees will need to arrange their own housing, but for out of towners we have suggestions of inexpensive lodging.
We warmly invite you to join us on Saturday morning before the workshop for an optional Conscious Dance gathering on the beach ten minutes away in Morro Bay - at ten am. Kato will Dj a playlist designed to bring you in to your heart and body, and it is a wonderful way to start a day of constellations.
The workshop itself will be from 1p to 7P on Saturday, and 9:30P to 6:30P on Sunday, with a break for picnic lunch and a potluck afterwards for those who wish to stay.
Due to our awareness of the financial hardships so many of us are experiencing at this time, the workshop is being discounted from its normal price of $400 and will be only $200. If this still presents a true hardship for you, please let us know as there are some partial scholarships available. There will be a discount of 50 % available for all students and anyone under 30 as this work can be so impactful when you start it early.
